Becoming a Communitas Rewards member

  • How do I become a Communitas Rewards member?


  • Members may join Communitas Rewards by completing the membership profile sent to you by email invitation or by clicking on the "JOIN" found on CommunitasRewards.com.

  • Is there a fee for joining Communitas Rewards?


  • No, there is no fee for becoming a member of Communitas Rewards. You may join Communitas Rewards by completing the membership profile sent to you by email invitation or by clicking on the "JOIN" logo found on CommunitasRewards.com.

  • What are Communitas Rewards?


  • Communitas Rewards are the reward points that a Communitas Rewards member can earn by participating in a number of different marketing initiatives designed specifically for them. The number of Communitas Rewards earned for participation will be clearly defined in the offer, opportunity or initiative. For example, if you decide to sign up for a subscription to a magazine or to purchase clothing from a retailer, we will award you a certain number of Communitas Rewards per dollar that you spend.

  • Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to become a Communitas Rewards member?


  • No. Communitas Rewards is a global rewards program.

  • What is the minimum age to become a Communitas Rewards member?


  • You have to be at least 13 years old to become a member of Communitas Rewards. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Communitas Rewards' membership services are not written, intended, or designed for children under the age of 13. We do not collect personal information from any person we know is under the age of 13.

  • If I am under the age of 13 can I still participate in Communitas Rewards?


  • Yes, we have many non-membership oriented offers, opportunities and initiatives designed for kids but kids will need to have parental approval, involvement and participation.

  • Which email address should I use to receive the Communitas Rewards e-mail invitations?


  • You should use the e-mail address that is most convenient for you. But please inform Communitas Rewards if you change e-mails. If you want to access or update your personal information submitted to Communitas Rewards, you can log on to CommunitasRewards.com and go to the "My Profile" feature.

  • Must I complete the entire profile to join Communitas Rewards?


  • Yes. Your complete Communitas Rewards profile is important to us. Communitas Rewards uses this information to maximize the offers, opportunities and initiatives sent to you and optimize your time spent on CommunitasRewards.com.

    Receiving offers, opportunities or initiatives from Communitas Rewards

  • How does Communitas Rewards send me an offer, opportunity or initiative?


  • Communitas Rewards will present you an offer, opportunity or initiative through the Communitas Rewards website or through an email invitation. Instructions on how to complete the offer, opportunity or initiative will be clearly stated so that you can complete it thoroughly and efficiently and earn your Communitas Rewards. If you are unclear about how to proceed, please contact us at info@communitasrewards.com to get further instructions or explanation.

  • How many email offers, opportunities or initiatives will I receive?


  • You will be invited to take no more than four Communitas Rewards offers, opportunities or initiatives per month via email delivery. You can participate in as many offers as you want by logging into your Communitas Rewards account located at CommunitasRewards.com.

  • Why am I not receiving my Communitas Rewards marketing initiatives or emails?


  • Your email service or software might not recognize Communitas Rewards. To ensure that your survey invitations are not caught in spam or junk mail filters, you can add us to your whitelist. Since every e-mail system is different, we have instructions for some of the most popular providers/software programs used to protect email addresses. To add us to your whitelist, follow the instructions listed on our whitelist page.

  • Can I participate in offers, opportunities or initiatives more than four times per month?


  • You can respond to as many website based offers, opportunities or initiatives that you want but you will receive no more than four per month by email. You can access these offers online by logging into your Communitas Rewards account located at CommunitasRewards.com.

  • How long will it take to answer each offer, opportunity or initiative?


  • Communitas Rewards offers, opportunities or initiatives length varies from 20 seconds to 20 minutes and occasionally longer. We will estimate the length of completion at the beginning of each offer, opportunity or initiative. Communitas Rewards will award you with a higher amount of Communitas Rewards for longer offers, opportunities or initiatives to reward you for your additional time commitment.

  • If I fail to complete an offer, opportunity or initiative, can I still earn Communitas Rewards?


  • No. Communitas Rewards requires that you complete your offer, opportunity or initiative to earn your designated amount of Communitas Rewards. If you encounter an error and cannot complete the offer, opportunity or initiative, please contact Communitas Rewards at info@communitasrewards.com for further instructions and potential reward reimbursement.

  • How do I stop becoming a Communitas Rewards member and stop receiving offers, opportunities or initiatives invitations?


  • When you subscribe to Communitas Rewards, a community and rewards program for IT Professionals, we will periodically send you an e-mail featuring special and exclusive offers, promotions and other members-only initiatives and invitations. You may register to receive communications from us directly on our website or through a third party. If you no longer wish to receive Communitas Rewards communications, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link that you will receive with all offers, opportunities or initiatives, or by contacting Customer Care at info@communitasrewards.com, or by logging in and selecting the "Opt-out" link located in the "My Profile" section of CommunitasRewards.com.

    Our email database is updated continually. However, you may continue to receive email communications from us up to ten business days from the time we receive your unsubscribe request. Please note that Communitas Rewards can only control its own mailing list and policies. Third party advertisers that maintain their own mailing lists may send communications that advertise our services, and you may need to contact these parties directly in order to stop receiving their email communications.


    Earning Communitas Rewards

  • How many Communitas Rewards do I earn for each completed offer, opportunity or initiative?


  • The range of Communitas Rewards earned for completed offers, opportunities or initiatives varies according to targeting, length of offer, etc., but it will be clearly identified in the Communitas Rewards e-mail or website invitation.

  • How can I find out about the amount of Communitas Rewards earned?


  • You can see the current Communitas Rewards you've earned to date when you log in to your Communitas Rewards account located at CommunitasRewards.com. Go to the "My Profile" area where you can access the detailed summary of your Communitas Rewards history.

  • Can I earn Communitas Rewards by getting friends to join and be rewarded if they respond to offers, opportunities or initiatives?


  • No. Communitas Rewards does not offer that feature at this time. But, of course, please share your experience and knowledge of Communitas Rewards with your friends and encourage them to visit the site at CommunitasRewards.com.

  • Can I earn Communitas Rewards through offers, opportunities or initiatives created by my Participating Partner Community?


  • Yes. Provided that any offer of Communitas Rewards by a Participating Partner Community was pre-approved by Communitas Rewards. Communitas Rewards will import the Communitas Rewards earned through a Participating Partner Community only after the Participating Partner Community has fulfilled any legal, contractual and financial obligations required by Communitas Rewards. Communitas Rewards will not recognize any Communitas Rewards earned where such legal, contractual and financial obligations of the Participating Partner Community is not fulfilled.

  • How many Communitas Rewards must I earn before I redeem them?


  • You must earn 10,000 Communitas Rewards before you can redeem them. You can redeem your Communitas Rewards by logging on to CommunitasRewards.com and going into the "My Account" area.

  • How can I redeem Communitas Rewards?


  • You must earn 10,000 Communitas Rewards before you can redeem them. You can redeem your Communitas Rewards by logging on to CommunitasRewards.com and going into the "My Account". There you can click on the Redeem Communitas Rewards Gift Certificate Option.

  • What are the methods of redeeming Communitas Rewards?


  • As a member of Communitas Rewards you can redeem Communitas Rewards for gift certificates offered by leading offline and online retailers.

    Your Profile

  • How can I change or update my profile?


  • If you want to access or update your profile or personal information submitted to Communitas Rewards, you can log on to CommunitasRewards.com and go to the "My Profile" feature. Such changes will include marital status, zip code location, number of children, etc.

  • Is there certain profile information that I cannot change?


  • Yes. You cannot change your birth date, gender or ethnicity.

    Communitas Rewards Privacy Policy

    Please read the following policy statements to understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of our many offerings. These Privacy Policy statements may change from time to time, at which point you will be notified by email.

  • How does Communitas Rewards protect my online privacy?


  • Communitas Rewards is committed to safeguarding your online privacy. We take great care in protecting any information collected from our site visitors and/or members. Communitas Rewards does not sell trade or rent your personal information to other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you have requested or unless we have your permission. Unless otherwise noted, your information is being collected solely by Communitas Rewards.   • Providing personal information is voluntary. Communitas Rewards will collect personal information when you respond to offers, opportunities or initiatives. We may use this information to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill any of your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients. Any information we collect may be retained for an indeterminate period of time. Unless otherwise noted, your information is being collected solely by Communitas Rewards. Once you register with Communitas Rewards, you are not anonymous to us. The information we collect may be from the following sources:

        * Information you provide us when you register for a user account to receive communications from us (such as your email address).

        * Information you provide us when you respond to offers, opportunities or initiatives offered by Communitas Rewards or our co-branded/partnership sites, or on the pages of Communitas Rewards partners or affiliates.

    We also collect demographic information. Demographic information is all other information such as gender, zip code, or any information that is not tied to your personal information. In addition, we might receive information about you from other sources (such as service providers) for tracking purposes. We may add the information we receive about you to your existing account. Like other websites, we also automatically receive and record certain types of information every time you visit us.   • How does Communitas Rewards store and use my cookies and IP address information?


  • To serve you faster and with better quality, Communitas Rewards uses "cookies" technology.   • If you use a message board, chat room, or blog on CommunitasRewards.com, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.

  • What happens when I click on an offer link that takes me to a Communitas Rewards partner or featured offer?


  • In some cases, we may use third party vendors to operate portions of the Communitas Rewards website. Although the particular section of the website may have a similar appearance as the Communitas Rewards site, information submitted through these outside third parties is subject to this Privacy Policy unless otherwise stated. For example, personal information submitted through our Affiliate Program is subject to our Affiliate Program operator's privacy policy.

    This Privacy Policy applies to all information that you provide to Communitas Rewards.
